David Maye
BIO
David Maye lives and works in Vancouver, Canada (located within the shared, unceded, ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations). He attended the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in the mid 1980s and has exhibited locally. His works are primarily digital.
STATEMENT
My paintings are about an evolving process of self questioning and self discovery. They may be left to any interpretation by the observer. "What You See Is What You See" (re: Frank Stella, 1964).
